Classroom Management

Love and security is everything! We are capable! We are silly! Brain research says that we learn more from mistakes than always being right!

I greet my students each day with a high five and end the day with one, as well!

Classroom rules are guidelines that we develop, practice, and apply each day of the year! Students help define the following guidelines:
  1. Raise your hand for permission to speak.
  2. Raise your hand for permission to leave your space.
  3. Follow directions quickly.
  4. Make smart choices.
  5. Help your teacher and friends feel happy!
At the classroom meeting area, we work to:
  1. Raise hands for permission to speak.
  2. Eyes watching.
  3. Ears listening.
  4. Mouth quiet
  5. Body still (with hands in "cookie jar"/lap)
  6. use hand motions/sign language to communicate.
